Welcome to the SLO Youth Symphony

Welcome!

Founded in 1965 by Dr. Wachtang "Botso" Korisheli, the San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony remains the only opportunity between the cities of Santa Barbara and Monterey, California, for school-age musicians to receive full orchestral training.

Staffed by conductors and coaches with extensive experience, the Youth Symphony provides an excellent environment for musicians to develop their skills through symphonic and chamber music training. The Youth Symphony also exposes children and adults throughout SLO County to classical music via small ensemble performances and collaborative educational concerts with the San Luis Obispo Symphony.

Audition Information

Auditions for the Youth Symphony will be held on September 19-20 at San Luis Obispo High School. Click here for Audition Requirements and more information.
